Custom/QC DataLink FAQ

Problem:	When I try to save the data and launch Custom/QC from the CQC Datalink program I receive and "Invalid variant type conversion" error.
Solution:	This error occurs if one of the fields has been defined incorrectly. For example a Sample Data column has been defined as numeric but it contains characteristic data.

Problem:	I want to query my data by date. What are all the options in the date field?
Solution:	Is Parameter (Turned On) = Exact Date & Time Range Parameter (Turned On with Is Parameter On) = Between Date/Time1 and Date/Time 2 Min as criteria (Turned On) >= Date/Time Max as criteria (Turned On) <= Date/Time Note: If you are using Min or Max criteria the Is Parameter and Range Parameter should be set to Off.

Problem:	Why is there a Save as template button on every screen?
Solution:	The Save as template option allows you to create the template to begin at the screen of your choosing. For example, you may want to distribute a template that starts at the Parameters screen every time, thus users only having to enter the data to query by. While in other instances you may want to begin at the select fields screen and allow the users to determine their own fields, but ensuring they are utilizing the correct table.
