Custom/QC DOS^TM Plotter FAQ

Problem:

The user has an HP Plotter (or compatible) attached to his network but can't get CQC to send charts to that plotter.

Solution:

The HPPLOT.SYS driver expects to be DIRECTLY connected to the plotter. The device driver requires two way communication between it and the plotter. Over a network this criteria cannot be met due to the nature of the connection. Have the user change to the HPGLPLTR.SYS driver. This driver is an HP compatible plotter driver that only sends it's output to the plotter, it does not expect a response from the unit.
