Problem:
Is there a maximum number of data points that can be entered manually in SPC Direct?
Solution:
There are no limits to the number of samples (data-points) that can be entered
in SPC Direct for Windows. Manual Data input forms can be configured for
up to 48 data channels, while direct gage input and automatically polled
process control data acquisition systems have up to 128 data channels available.

Problem:
Manual data input (MDI) form does not properly size itself,
resulting in missing or cutoff descriptions and/or entry fields.
Solution:
The WindowsTM font size is currently set to something other than “Small Fonts” (Normal
size – 96 dpi). To adjust the settings, right-click on the Windows desktop and
select ‘Properties’. Set the Font size to Small Fonts on the Settings tab of the
Display Properties dialog box.

Problem:
When opening SPC Direct Monitor, the MDI form automatically opens and cannot be closed to view the charts.
Solution:
The gage rate is set > 0. To stop the form from appearing you must
quickly <ESC> from the form and select Set Gage Rate off the Utilities menu
and change the rate to 0

Problem:
The following error message appears when the user attempts to take a reading
while running a manual input part in the SPC Monitor (spc.exe):
***FATAL ERROR***: Manual input config file failed, application terminated.
Solution:
The directory path to the input form is incorrect for the current part or the
input form file is missing. This can become an issue in a network environment where
the same directory may have different drive map letters for each user login.
This can be overcome by utilizing Universal Naming Convention (UNC)
mapping where the path is of form: \\servername\sharename.
For example: \\spc1\public\spcwin\quality.txt
